Martha
The design of the Martha rocking chair arises from the meeting of the two principal elements of the shell, both made of rigid polyurethane obtained by molding. The seat and armrests form part of a single, sinuous, open line, with both ends inclined outward. The curved and slightly padded backrest appears to float in the air; in reality it is attached to the shell by a concealed system. A triangular‑section wood trestle supports the whole. A slight tilt of the seat toward the back promotes optimal comfort and accentuates the dynamic design of the chair. The rocking base is made of solid ash wood. The play of colors and material contrasts helps emphasize Martha’s fluid and light line.
